The man behind the name
I, Joel Dahlin, am the owner and primary developer of Dahlin Development. I reside in Sauk Rapids, MN and work from my home.
I have a B.S. degree in Business Computer Information Systems from St. Cloud State University.
I love what I do for a living and have a passion for web development and learning new technologies. To keep my skills fresh, I frequently attend user groups, code camps and developer conferences.
At college I met my first employer, freeze.com. I worked with freeze.com, now W3i, for 8 years. In my eigth year, I completed a few side projects and discovered I enjoy meeting and working with new clients. After W3i I took a position with IntelliSoft, a division of Netgain. IntelliSoft was taken over by JDB Associates 6 months after I started. That coupled with my growing affinity for freelance work was the impetus to venture out on my own.
As a one person company, my overhead is low. I provide the professional quality of a big firm at an affordable rate.
I might be a one person company but I am not a one-man-show. I have a network of other companies and resources I work with when necessary.
